The area has numerous places to cycle, run and walk from outside the front door. There is a network of award winning cycle tracks based on the old wagon ways, and this is also the start of the Coast-to-Coast route. Bring your sports kit - this is a fantastic place for early morning runs along the beach - and look out for the Easter 10KM run not to mention The Great North Run! There are numerous places to go walking too - from a leisurely stroll to The Lighthouse or more strenuous walking in the hills. More to come... |
